Composed of almost 120 acres, Greenwood Cemetery is a lush, beautiful property in Hamilton, New Jersey. It is about six miles from the state capital in Trenton, 60 miles from New York City and just 35 miles from Philadelphia.
Greenwood is a large, non-denominational cemetery, but we offer services that take into account specific requests in accordance with the beliefs of particular faiths. For instance, Greenwood has expanded gardens serving members of the Islamic community, the Chinese communities
In addition, Greenwood has expanded two sections dedicated to Catholic families, and three sections dedicated to members of the Jewish faith. It also has sections dedicated to fraternal organizations, such as our fallen firefighters’ memorial garden.
It is also important to note that over the years, Mercer County has dedicated Greenwood Cemetery as its provider of burial space to military veterans, and has done so since the time of the Civil War. The Mercer County Veterans Day ceremony is held at Greenwood Cemetery, and it’s one of the largest in the state of New Jersey.
